New members pub crawl friday 17th February
A new year and new members so let's have a new pub crawl! For unknown reasons a literary theme has emerged.

8.00pm - The Shakespeare (just round the corner from the Arnofilni opposite El Puerto restaurant) - no explanation necesary!
9.00pm - The Hole in the Wall (opposite the Severnshed on the corner of Queen's Square) - reputed to be the inspiration for the Spyglass in Treasure Island.
10.00pm - The Llandogger Trow (King street opposite the Old Duke down from the Bristol Old Vic) - Daniel Defoe reputedly met Alexander Selkirk which inspired Robinson Crusoe.

Hope to see lots of people there whether you are new to the group or not. If you are thinking about joining the group but haven't yet paid us a visit we're hoping you'll come along!

Spend Easter with Brunel on the South Wales Coast

This Easter we would like to invite members on a 4 night break on the coast of South Wales running from Thursday 5th - Monday 9th April 2012.
There will be fantastic walking on offer over the weekend in beautiful surroundings.
The weekend is open to current members of Brunel Walking only, the booked accomodation is aimed at Brunel 20s & 30s members and Brunel Plus members are invited to join the walks over the weekend and book their own accomodation. For more details and a booking form, please email here. The cost of the weekend is £91, which covers 4 nights accomdation and a communal meal on 1 night.

We need your walks in 2012!
Lovely members, we need your walks! The walking group relies on it's members to put on walks. If you have never lead a walk before you should think about teaming up with someone else and co-leading a walk. Please go to the walk leading page and submit your walk. If you haven't worked out a route yet, put 'TBC' under walk description Thank you from the committee.

The Triangle in Bristol has agreed to a 30% discount for Brunel Members off their products - which given Christmas is coming is, I think you'll agree, a pretty useful deal!
